From LAHC area, allow a little over an hour.
Take 110N to 405N to 10 West, which turns into Highway 1, PCH. Drive to Malibu, and just past the city center, turn right on Malibu Canyon Road. To get to the trailhead: Take Malibu Canyon Road to the intersection with Mulholland Highway, 6.3 miles from the coast. Turn west (left) at the light on Mulhollad Highway and drive 0.15 mile to the trailhead on the left. There is street parking on the both sides of the road.

Field trip will include a stop at Santa Monica Mountains Visitors’ Center at King Gillette Ranch on your way home, 26800 Mulholland Hwy, Calabasas, CA 91302, to learn from exhibits. Malibu Creek Visitors’ Center is open 12-4 weekends.
If you feel brave, you can swim in Century Lake; and if you feel extra-energetic, you can hike to the MASH filming site.
