The first photo from mindbodygreen.com was posted as ‘Sarasota, Florida,’ but I knew it was a cove in Southern California: the cream-colored rock cliff looks like shale or diatomite, or diatomized shale; and dark basalt points like this are ‘igneous toes’ that are more resistant to erosion, so jut out.
