The 405 follows the curvature of the coast (a.k.a. “shore”), and gets winds from both sides as pressure systems meet up. You may feel like your car tires need alignment or one tire is soft, as bursts of air can push your car like a fish tail (a.k.a. “gusts”).
The 110 and 710 have truck corridors to L.A. and Long Beach Ports. As trucks pass, they push air and gusts burst in behind them.
